03.30.2024 Easter Event: Egg Hunt & More

Join us for a wonderful Easter Event presented by our Youth Leadership Council

When: Saturday March 30th, 2024 1:00pm – 2:00pm
Where: At a neighborhood park in San Tan Valley off Bradstock and Luke.
Who: Foster & Kinship Children and their siblings, including informal kinship and already adopted children.

Ages 6-14

This event is FREE.
Space is limited and will be filled in the order of registrations. Please call/text us at 623-252-4721 if you need to cancel your registration so we can open up the spot to another family.

*PLEASE NOTE: At least one responsible adult must stay for the duration of the event to ensure the safety of their child(ren) since it is an open park.

Film Fundraiser for Foster Families:

A Pay it Forward Event

FUNDRAISER: Join us for a private screening of The Boys in the Boat (rated PG13).

4:45pm – Our founder & Executive Director Stephanie Wright will share about the difference One by One is making and ways you can help us.

Who:
Primarily Adults, however, you are welcome to bring children Ages 13+ if they would enjoy the show. Each person needs their own ticket.

Cost: $25 (Includes a $15 donation to allow Foster Families to enjoy a Family Movie Event in the spring, complete with popcorn and soda.)

Space is limited. Tickets are non-refundable.

Saturday 11.11.2023: Art Event: The Gift That I Am! presented by Anasuya Isaacs

Join us for a wonderful morning art experience with the lovely Anasuya Isaacs.

In Mesa near University and Center Street. Exact given in confirmation email.

Who:
Foster & Kinship Children and their families, including biological and adopted siblings. Must have a foster or kinship (including informal) child to attend.

Ages 4+

This event is FREE. Donations are always welcome.

    Join us for a fun social event hosted by our 

    Kinship Youth Leadership Council

    For Foster, Kinship, & Adopted teens and their siblings:

    ages 13-18 

     

    FREE EVENT: Bring a Snack to Share 

     

    Location: Off Germann & Sossaman in Queen Creek

    Youth ages 13-18 will come enjoy an evening of basketball, volleyball, and/or group board games. Something for everyone. Great way to make new friends and practice your social skills. 

    This event is for Foster, Kinship, and Adopted youth and their siblings, ages 13-18 only.

    There will be a very short presentation by the Youth Council on different self-care mobile apps that the youth may wish to try out.

    This is a drop off event. Please drop off and pick your children up on time.

    We will be requiring event liability waivers to be signed by a parent or guardian at the door. If your youth is driving themselves, please email us no later than 2pm Saturday at info@onebyonefoster.org so we can send you the waiver to print and sign in advance.

    This event is being put on by our Kinship Youth Leadership Council which is a program in cooperation with The Arizona Foundation for Human Service Providers. Funded by the Arizona Department of Health Services Adolescent Health Initiatives Program.

    04.21.2023 2nd Annual Fundraising Gala

    Grab your boots & Hat and Head on down to our 2nd Annual Fundraising Gala: Dinner & A Show: Country Western Style!

    This will be a night to remember. Music, Dancing, Live Entertainment, Silent Auction, and Food! 

    Each admission includes 2 free drink tickets. Additional tickets may be purchased at the event for $10 each for alcoholic beverages, and $3 each for non-alcoholic beverages.  

    Special Song Dedication Request Optional add-on for $50: This special add-on is limited to the first 5 people who choose it. You will be emailed a list of country songs to choose from and a form to fill out what you would like our musician to say to your special someone before performing the song. 

    02.05.2022 February Family Fun Baking Box

    From our family to yours. Sign up for a family baking box. ONLY for ACTIVE FOSTER & KINSHIP FAMILIES with DCS involvement.

    Set aside some time where the clock isn’t ticking and enjoy baking with your child(ren). Let them and the kitchen get a little messy. Take pictures (and send them to us if you care to).

    Boxes include all ingredients required to make the recipes. Pans, dishes, and utensils not included. 

    PLEASE NOTE: Boxes are limited and you must be able to pick up between 10am and 10:30am on SUNDAY, February 5th. We are starting a different event at 11am. (Families attending the Yoga Event from 11am-12pm can pick their boxes up after that event.)  If you sign up for a box and no show, we will not be able to serve your family with boxes in the future.

    Registration: Select the number of tickets equal to number of children in the home, including non-foster or kinship “siblings”. Each ticket with gather the information we need for the children in the home.

    KIDS YOGA GAMES presented by Mitra Malaekeh

    Join One by One Foster & Kinship Solutions for our Kids Yoga Games Event for all foster, kinship, and adoptive families.

    Children (age 6+ only) will enjoy learning fun kids yoga games while caregivers will have a chance to learn at-home strategies to de-stress and reinforce what the kids have learned.

    Admission: Free. All children will get a take-home flipchart of yoga poses. Active Foster & Kinship Families will each get to take home a yoga mat per family. (Adopted families are welcome to this event but will not receive the Yoga Mat. However, you may purchase one yourself at a 99 Cents Only store.) 

    Space is limited and will be filled in the order of registrations.  

    *PLEASE NOTE: Masks are optional, please bring your own. Prior to the event, if you or your family members have had recent Covid-19 exposure or are experiencing any symptoms, please call/text us at 623-252-4721 so we can open your spot to another family.

    Saturday 01.14.2023   Join us for the first event hosted by our new Kinship Youth Leadership Council

    Project: My Box 

    Current Foster & Kinship Youth ONLY: ages 8-12

    This fun and educational morning will teach your youth about effective ways to manage their “big emotions”. Each child will create a custom “My Box” filled with fidgets, coping skills, and more to take home and use when their emotions need a little check. Also great for simply chilling after a hard day. 

    This is a drop off event. Please pick your children up on time. Space is limited and we are purchasing kit supplies for each registered child, so please only register if you are certain your child(ren) can attend. If something comes up after you are registered, please email us at info@onebyonefoster.org so we can be sure to open the spot to another child.

    This event is for CURRENT Foster & Kinship children only. No adopted children or siblings. Paperwork regarding placement will need to be shown. (For informal kinship children, a Power of Attorney, or something else stating the child is in your care will work.)

    07.16.2022 1st Annual Fun in the Sun Water Carnival hosted together with Panera Bread Co.

    Join One by One Foster & Kinship Solutions, together with Panera Bread Co. summer event for foster and kinship families. (Must have an active foster or kinship placement and REGISTER BELOW to attend.)

    Location: McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park

    Come enjoy a morning full of water play and snacks. We will have carnival-style games with a water theme.

    Wear clothes that can get wet, and bring a towel and water bottle.

    The event is FREE, but please be courteous and let us know if you cannot make it as this helps with our planning

    04.01.2022 1st Annual Fundraising Gala

    Thank you so much for attending our amazing event last Friday. The turnout was amazing and it meant so much to us to have everyone there.

    If you want to make an additional donation to our organization, we have a couple of different online options all found under www.onebyonefoster.org/makeadifference. You can also mail us a check if you prefer to avoid online payments.

    04.23.2022 Special Event: Girl Scout Cookies, Movie, and Popcorn Pajama Party!

    Girl Scout Troop 71 received Cookie Box Donations to give to foster and kinship families. Their girls wanted to make the distribution of the cookies a special event where everyone gathers to enjoy a MOVIE and POPCORN! Every child will receive a box of COOKIES of their very own.

    This event is for the entire family. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

    Wear your favorite PAJAMAS or comfy clothes and bring a PILLOW and BLANKET to cozy up with while we enjoy a Disney Movie.

    Doors Open at 3:45pm – Event Starts at 4:00pm and goes until around 6pm.
